Oxley’s Bar & Kitchen, located on the brink of the beautiful Picton waterfront, is Amy Cragg’s continued love affair with food, drink, and the hospitality industry. Amy, as operations and events manager, oversees everyday operations, events, and catering here at Oxley’s.
Over the years Oxley’s has evolved continually while still maintaining the original 1870s “Bank Hotel” façade and its prominence as a landmark in Picton. The most recent evolution since Amy took over ownership in 2015. Is the stylishly designed interior which creates a warm and comfortable dining and bar experience, while still proudly showcasing many items of memorabilia from Oxley’s History and, Picton’s unique heritage.
Having been at the heart of Picton and entertaining patrons since the 1870’s we ensure we have plenty to offer to keep our patrons and the ever-bustling foreshore alive. We have live music every weekend, open mic nights, traditional meat raffles, and a large bar area suitable for watching any sport your heart could desire.
Our focus is on consistent and high-quality food to suit special occasions, light bites, corporate functions, grand family get-togethers, or just a midweek treat.
Our menu is designed to incorporate good old-fashioned Kiwi classics with a little bit of extra flare, and where possible we use delicious and locally sourced foods from the stunning Marlborough region.

The Oxley’s drinks menu is prosperous to say the least. We believe beverages are an important part of any dining experience, so we put a lot of time and effort into creating a drinks menu worthy of our food. We have tap and bottled beers, craft, lagers, and traditional ales to suit the needs of any seasoned fisherman. Our wine list is curated to complement our cuisine and showcase locally made produce from some of Marlborough’s finest wineries, we also have an extensive Cocktail menu for our more adventurous patrons.
